Brief synopsis
Bob and Barbara Van Rozen appear to have the dream marriage. They share a passion for antiques, have two children and a beautiful home. While Bob throws himself into his work and focuses on money, Barbara shelves her studies and puts her all into raising the children and turning their home into an absolute dream house. Bob and Barbara. Peaches and cream. Peace and harmony. Everything looks perfect…
Until the house reaches perfection and the children fly the nest. Desperate for new meaning in her life Barbara sets up her own catering business. But with a new beginning, and a new life, she re-examines everything. Especially her marriage. And she comes to the conclusion that she and Bob have grown apart. So she asks for a divorce.
Now, the divorce should be a simple matter… But what if neither is willing to let go of that one symbol of prosperity, taste and style: the house? The house becomes the object of a bizarre divorce battle. Neither will back down, and they devise ever more creative ways to force the other out. A husband and wife, united by love for so many years, are now bonded by rage and blind hate.
The Van Rozens’ once blissful marriage degenerates into war: De Rozenoorlog. Nothing and no one is spared…
