Bieke Ilegems, Maike Boerdam and Daisy Thys as “Babes”
On 14 October 2024, the Red Hall of the Torch Theatre will premiere the musical creation “Babes”, the debut of the new production company Iskariot.
The girl group Babes was a phenomenon in the 1990s, but after one of the singers dropped out, the group fell apart.More than 25 years later, under pressure from their ex-manager, they are planning a comeback….
But is it still possible?
BABES is a new Flemish musical comedy by Allard Blom and Sam Verhoeven, the makers of “Lelies”, “Josephine B.” and “Goodbye Norma, Jeane”, and plays exclusively at the Fakkeltheater for 4 weeks only.It is directed by Martin Michel.
There are starring roles for Bieke Ilegems, who is also making her musical debut, Daisy Thys, Maike Boerdam and Peter Thyssen.They will be accompanied by a live orchestra conducted by Thomas Vanhauwaert.
