Brief synopsis
Pocahontas tells the true story of the eponymous Indian princess and the explorer John Smith. When the latter sets foot in the ‘new world’ he immediately comes into conflict with the local tribe of Indians. On one of his expeditions he meets Pocahontas. She helps him see that Indians are not just ‘savages’ and that there is more to the world than items that can only be possessed. However, war between the colonists and the Indians is inevitable, and when John Smith is captured, love is weaponised more than ever in the conflict…
